Fall Detection and Emergency Response


A 78-year-old patient living alone is monitored by VITARYS Fall Guardian. One afternoon, the patient accidentally slips while reaching for his book on a shelf. VITARYS Fall Guardian’s Vision Neural Network immediately detects the fall and autonomously assesses the severity of the situation.

The device instantly communicates with the AI Hub via Bluetooth, triggering a check-in call from VITARYS AI to the patient as well as an automated call to the named emergency contact number. When no response is detected, the system escalates the alert to the named emergency responder, providing them with a detailed triage report, including the exact time, location, and visual context of the fall.

Gesture-Based Help Request

A caregiver has placed the VITARYS Fall Guardian in the bedroom of an elderly patient recovering from surgery. During the night, the patient feels unwell but is unable to reach their phone. Instead, they raise their hand as a gesture for help, which the Fall Guardian’s Vision Neural Network instantly recognises as a non-verbal distress signal.

The device communicates this alert to the AI Hub, which initiates a call from VITARYS to the patient to assess the situation. The patient explains their condition, and VITARYS can then call the named caregiver to provides assistance.
